The Lunugala Maha Vidyalaya in the Budulla district which has been upgraded as a secondary school under the “Mahindyodhaya” school development program was vested in the children of the area by the Chief Minister of Uva Province Hon. Shasheendra Rajapaksa, recently.
The Ministry of Education of the Central Government with the supervision of the respective Provincial Councils meets all expenses in upgrading one thousand schools in Sri Lanka under the “Mahindyodhaya” school development program. This development program provides a school with well equipped laboratory facilities for teaching Science subjects, a library, and assistance to improve administration of the school with class rooms having a suitable environment to help studies.
Members of Pradeshiya Sabhas and other local government administrative offices of the area, officials of the Ministry of Education (Central & Provincial) and parents attended the ceremony.
